Hasse raised his BA from .194 to .275 in one game. Wow.

Yes he is out of the doghouse for now.  I still want to see more of Jake Rogers though.

It’s been near or at the bottom for the last couple years. I hope they can change some of that around this year.

Since they aren't going to score big very often themselves, as long as you have to keep staring pitchers that occasionally get rocked in the first couple of innings leading to huge losses the ugly differentials will continue - but they don't really mean much other than the pitching staff is short. Who knew?

And in fact, Mason Englert is prolly the team MVP to this point. Who saw that coming?

He was 3rd in Win Probability added behind Maton and Foley coming into today.  Could be #1 now.

Remember, the beauty of the MVP award is that 'valuable' is in the eye of the beholder.

So what you meant to say is that Mason Englert is prolly your team MVP to this point. That's cool, and now true. 😉

Got to love Monroe bragging about how patience Maton is right before he grounds into a DP on the first pitch

That was magical.

(If I hear him say Magical one more time..........)

I was listening on the radio just as the first game was getting going, and Jim Price sounded rough.  Now, it could be because it's really cold in the booth and that does give you some speech issues (when your face gets numb) but he sounded rough today.

It was such a break to have Gibson in the booth for few games. OTOH, Monroe may be doing wonders for Dickerson's ratings - he is here anyway.

that was nice. I didn't think he had that kind of play in his fielding playbook.

Didn't he save a triple in Tampa ?        Dude's an athlete.    Hopefully he's better than other pure athletes like JaCoby Jones and Mikie Mahtook.

Would be nice to see his bat wake up

Yeah - Price is wearing down. His elocution isn't wasn't it was and he's losing his train of thought more often and Dickerson is filling more the time himself. But a failing Jim Price is still a lot more listenable than an energetic but grating Craig Monroe.
