I hope they can change some of that around this year. Since they aren't going to score big very often themselves, as long as you have to keep staring pitchers that occasionally get rocked in the first couple of innings leading to huge losses the ugly differentials will continue - but they don't really mean much other than the pitching staff is short. Who knew? Edited April 18, 2023 by gehringer_2 Quote
Jim Cowan Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 That's twice in the past few days that we have seen a 3 inning reliever. Someone has been reading this forum. 1 1 Quote
gehringer_2 Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 (edited) And in fact, Mason Englert is prolly the team MVP to this point. Who saw that coming? Edited April 18, 2023 by gehringer_2 Quote

Motor City Sonics Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 At least I was able to resolve my stupid issue in time to see the home run. 1 Quote

Tenacious D Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 (edited) I get excited when I see Bally flash the Tigers lineup and the incredibly high batting averages. Until I realize that they are just very low OPS. Edited April 18, 2023 by Tenacious D 1 Quote

romad1 Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 This strike zone is from the top of the players head to his toes apparently. Quote

Tiger337 Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 Baez is the MVP because they have started winning since he returned from his benching. 1 Quote
Toddwert Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 Got to love Monroe bragging about how patience Maton is right before he grounds into a DP on the first pitch Quote
gehringer_2 Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 that was nice. I didn't think he had that kind of play in his fielding playbook. Quote

(If I hear him say Magical one more time..........) I was listening on the radio just as the first game was getting going, and Jim Price sounded rough. Now, it could be because it's really cold in the booth and that does give you some speech issues (when your face gets numb) but he sounded rough today. Quote

OTOH, Monroe may be doing wonders for Dickerson's ratings - he is here anyway. Quote

His elocution isn't wasn't it was and he's losing his train of thought more often and Dickerson is filling more the time himself. But a failing Jim Price is still a lot more listenable than an energetic but grating Craig Monroe. 1 1 Quote
