I was listening on the radio just as the first game was getting going, and Jim Price sounded rough.  Now, it could be because it's really cold in the booth and that does give you some speech issues (when your face gets numb) but he sounded rough today.   

Jim sounds better now.  Maybe he just needed to warm up.

That’s kind of what I was thinking.

Along those lines, I’ve wondered about Gibson this early season.  His voice sounds weaker, but he seems to get lost in thought a bit more.  Maybe it’s just a matter of getting back into a groove, hopefully nothing more than that.

Liked that Foley was staying away from Rameriz. He's the one guy in that line-up you'd rather walk that give in to.

So some serious defense from Vierling, and pretty much the whole IF. Big difference when you catch the ball better than the other guys.

But how much better does it have to feel for the teams and umps and on hand personnel?   A doubleheader over just like that as opposed to a day night doubleheader that neither game is done in less than 3 hours.

Didn't realize just how impressive that Rodriguez stat line was, surprised to know JV didn't do that here or for Max to only do this once here for that matter but I suppose the 8 inning part was his hangup.
