Haven't seen any actual reasoning but guessing it is because Bert can't play in Canada

Grand Rapids has been playing badly lately they may also want Veleno to take some time away maybe it'll be better for him

Rasmussen needs to look like that: stronger on his skates, stronger control of the puck, quicker reactions...

I think Ras has improved his skating a decent amount too ( though not to Elmer's degree) so.... 😬

It'll be interesting to see how he plays as 1C for at least the start of tonight.

I wonder if Rasmussen would look good in Sweden too. Not trying to rain on Elmer’s parade, just thinking that there is a difference in leagues.

Rasmussen has improved his skating...he needs to finish around the net better. He's had opportunities to bury a few and missed.  That was supposed to be his calling card.  He's made some nice passes, he's winning face offs at a higher than 50% rate and he has been decent defensively.  He blocks a lot of shots and his reach has served him well on the PK

The few times I've watched him he is too easily getting knocked off balance and losing the puck all too often.

So he still needs some improvements, IMO, in the areas I outlined...
