Neither Cossa nor Bednar started for their teams and the teams' other goalies got lit up.  Sebrango scored.

Mazur laid a big hit at least, I saw Savage dressed too

Edvinsson played the most minutes for Sweden and barely saw the power play which is wild.

 

How the F does he pivot so well without even using crossovers?!

Agreed, I know Seider got time in Grand Rapids but Edvinsson has been thriving in the SHL and I wouldn't be shocked if Yzerman has seen enough at this point.

Watched most of the 2nd period last night on a stream out of Russia...Edvinsson is so fricking mobile...seeing the highlights is one thing, but to see someone that size actually moving like that within the game it's even more impressive.

he may not start in detroit, but he'll end up there.

and actually, i think the odds are pretty good he does start there.

Some of Yzerman's recent draft picks were also big, strong, tough defensemen, who can protect the skill players like Larkin and Lucas.

That's the one element were were a bit short on during our Cup/Playoff run. That's a necessity in the playoffs, where the referees still favor the physical (even goon) teams.

I can't imagine how bad the Wings would be if they still had Holland here.   We'd have absolutely no hope right now.   NO future.

holland is the main reason we're soooooooooooo far behind in our rebuild.

that thread didnt get into their horrible drafts either.  go back and look at the post larkin/bert drafts.  it will make you cringe.
