MichiganCardinal Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 That'll be a great pickup for the Eagles until he gets hurt at halftime of the week one game. Quote
Tenacious D Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 Don’t love sending a potential playmaker to the Eagles, who I see as our biggest competitor in the NFC. Quote

I don't love it, but I also didn't expect to get a 4th round pick for him at this point (even two years from now). I'm not really worried about him having some 150-yard game in a playoff game against the Lions. He hasn't shown any ability to consistently succeed without a pitch count. Quote
Jason_R Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 Didn’t think they’d get anything for Swift. But also didn’t think they’d trade a fourth and two fifths for a guy who would have been there at 122. Quote

Yeah, he's electric at times, but only at times. He just never seems consistently produce well. Every once in a while you see flashes... like that one TD where he had to adjust to the catch, was on the ground, got up and dodged like 4 defenders to make the endzone. But then two plays later you see he dance around trying to make a HR and get tackled for a loss instead of plunging ahead and get 3-4 yards. Quote

He was Lionized (old Lionized) in his first game though when he dropped what should have been a game-winning TD against the Bears. He was doomed from that point on. Quote

It does lose some value because it's in 2 years but, yeah, not a bad haul. I heard that it was a 30 spot jump in the 7th so almost like adding a late 6th as well. Not too bad. I hate that it was to the Philly Bulldogs though. Edited April 29, 2023 by NYLion Quote

It has to be realistic, like if the Eagles said they'd only give a 7th and Houston was willing to give a 4th, sorry D'Andre, you're going to Houston. But free agents care about how they're treated when this time comes, and I'm sure word spreads regarding what teams will take care of you and what teams will take you out to the curb on Wednesday night. buddha Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 its a good trade for both teams. eagles get a potential game changer at rb who is in a contract year and needs to show something, the lions get a 4th....WAY in the future. eagles didnt give up much. one can argue the lions didnt either. Quote
MichiganCardinal Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 As we crawl towards #152, I'm thinking it will be one of the following players: Jammie Robinson, AT Perry, Antonio Johnson, Jaylon Jones, Mike Morris, Henry To'oTo'o, Jarrett Patterson, Nick Broeker, some dude from some small school I have never heard of. buddha Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 they spent a lot of time with curtis mcclendon. he's still available. Quote

MichiganCardinal Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 Packers just picked Sean Clifford. What are the odds we see him get game action this year? Quote
MichiganCardinal Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 You know we are getting into the later rounds when their stats on a guy are "two time SEC Honor Roll" Quote

MichiganCardinal Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 FWIW, he was announced to the media as a tackle, but the Lions are announcing him as a guard. Quote
