clark1mt Posted May 7, 2023 Posted May 7, 2023 It would appear the Tigers have turned back into pumpkins this afternoon. Quote
casimir Posted May 7, 2023 Author Posted May 7, 2023 Going to have to send Faedo back down and pull up another reliever for Cleveland the way the bullpen is going to be used today. Quote
kdog Posted May 7, 2023 Posted May 7, 2023 Also when your starters can’t routinely pitch past the 5th inning, sometimes this happens. The Tigers team defense has been very good overall and bad today unfortunately. Quote

kdog Posted May 7, 2023 Posted May 7, 2023 They have 3 off days in the next 10 days. They probably only need 4 starters for a bit. Quote

chasfh Posted May 7, 2023 Posted May 7, 2023 TORK! lack of range hurting, too. And now Maton with yet another error?! Quote

clark1mt Posted May 7, 2023 Posted May 7, 2023 It will be fun for the official scorer to determine which runs in this inning should be earned. Quote

Dtrain72 Posted May 7, 2023 Posted May 7, 2023 (edited) Whelp, thats it for me...gratz Tigers, almost went 6 straight games before you made me turn it off, so thats nice. Edited May 7, 2023 by Dtrain72 Quote
casimir Posted May 7, 2023 Author Posted May 7, 2023 Wow, were they mentally on the plane to Cleveland after the Rogers grand slam? Quote
Klondike Posted May 7, 2023 Posted May 7, 2023 The Tiger's minor Leagueness has reared its ugly head today. Quote
Tigermojo Posted May 7, 2023 Posted May 7, 2023 4 errors by the left side of the infield sheesh! Quote

casimir Posted May 7, 2023 Author Posted May 7, 2023 Well, I guess if short start pitching outings and bad bullpen outings and bad defensive outings are going to happen, condense them together into as few games as possible rather than spreading the love out to multiple games? Quote

Today is a reminder that, even if they may be a little better than some thought, this team still has a ways to go to being good... With that in mind, they just need to use that inning as a learning moment and just build off of it to make sure it doesn't happen again Edited May 7, 2023 by mtutiger Quote

Yeah - Tork is capable of making that play, but OTOH, I don't think many scorers would charge an error on any catch attempt made with the fielder running with his back to the field. Those are beyond 'ordinary effort' almost by definition. Quote
