Holding my breath and rooting hard on Tork that it becomes reality. He, Greene and Skuball are still the main drivers of our future success since their ceilings could be quite high.

yeah - hitting is weird, guys can look like they have it all figured out one month and be back in the minors forever the next. Schoop is the cautionary tale there - when he's on he looks like he's in complete control at the plate, the rest of the time it seems that other guy must be a doppleganger from another planet because he looks like he has no chance of figuring it out.

Right now Tork looks comfortably in command of his swing, his timing and the K zone. You have to remind yourself it really is the same guy who was tentative and with no rhythm at all less than a year ago. If this is really the hitter he stays, we are going to be very happy - but who knows if it is?

We discussed it yesterday, but honestly the fact that teams have been pitching Tork relatively cautiously the past couple of weeks is about as good a sign as any.

What if he's a streaky hitter and this is his hot days? I could be OK with that as long as his cold days are pretty short. We....just don't know yet.

Most power hitters (we hope he's that) are streak hitters.

True. But even when his balls in play weren't dropping, he was crushing the ball. Maybe a doubles hitter with HR power? Either way, he was having some pretty bad babip luck.

It already is a reality. You can't direct the ball into the gaps, you can only hit it hard, the rest is up to randomness.

Of course Jake Rogers' Dad's name is "Dusty", I wouldn't have expected anything less, he totally looks exactly like how I would've expected his Dad to look like. His Dad just looks like the stereotypical "Country Boy" or should I say Country Guy.

They are carrying multiple boat anchor hitters on the roster...either because they want to or because they don't have better options. I guess that's part of the rebuild process.
