lordstanley
I had a bad business experience with a Norwegian but I won’t let that muddy my view of the pick.
Mr.TaterSalad
Eiserman still on the board.
Shinzaki
MBN was the most Red Wing forward of them all...I like the pick.

gehringer_2
Just now, Shinzaki said: MBN was the most Red Wing forward of them all...I like the pick. I'm on board with SY's process. He wants a McDavid as much as anyone, but when he doesn't have the opportunity to get one, taking 2 way players that will it at least make it hard for the other teams' stars to play against you moves you in the right direction.
1984Echoes
So far Sennecke all the way up to 3 and Buium falling all the way to 12 are the biggest surprises to me. Nothing else seems particularly surprising...
Mr.TaterSalad
Whose a good NHL comparison for MBN? David Perron with better skating ability?

Baby Bert then in terms of the physicality? Edited June 29 by Mr.TaterSalad

It would have nice if he were a center, but they weren't picking 1st....

Shinzaki
Can work in the tough areas in close...like Perron

Despite that he had a knack for being in the right place at the right time on both offense and defense early in his career. Was seeing less of that by the time they moved him. buddha
bert was a terrible skater and was the opposite of defensively sound.
Topliner1903
Chernyshov still available, would be great to get him. But probably won't last to 47.

He's at the top of my list but they'd have to trade all the way up to get him. Outside of that... Who is on (anyone's) want list in the 2nd and/or 3rd...? I'm pretty wide open at this point so it's BPA to me with no regard to position. Let Stevie find some magic the next couple rounds... wherever that may be/ any position will do... IMO. 1984Echoes
PS: I'm particularly high on a couple D-men though: Elick is also at the top of my list but he'll go early as well. After Elick it's Badinka that I like. And there's still a half dozen D'men after those two that I like in Mews, Masse, Pulkkinen, Freij, Kleber... maybe John Mustard... 1984Echoes
What would it take to get to the top of the 2nd round (say, top 3 picks?) There are two guys that I want more than any other available (Chernyshov and Elick), and one more that I'd "settle" for in the top 3 picks of the 2nd: Badinka.
