Tigermojo Posted July 15, 2023 Posted July 15, 2023 I must disagree with the chess master. Maton does not "balance out" the lineup. He's a black hole in the lineup. Doesn't matter which batter's box he stands in. The new stance looks bad. Slightly different stance with the same results. Quote
chasfh Posted July 15, 2023 Posted July 15, 2023 Seems the later a team unveils their city connects, the better the design is. The Red Sox unveiled their UCLA-adjacent connects in April 2021 and they suck butt. Mariners unveiled the ones we see tonight in late April and except for the pants they’re pretty OK. Gives me hope when we unveil ours it won’t be too horrifying. Quote
chasfh Posted July 15, 2023 Posted July 15, 2023 Oopsy … Dan just said “the swings are getting better against Eduardo Rodriguez”, but really, they’ve been pretty good since inning one, at least when they’ve connected. Quote
Jim Cowan Posted July 15, 2023 Posted July 15, 2023 Colt Keith played second base again tonight. Perhaps he will be the answer there. Quote

chasfh Posted July 15, 2023 Posted July 15, 2023 Wow, huge Pollock brain fart at third base on that groundout to Maton keeps the Tigers in the lead … Quote
AZTigersfan Posted July 15, 2023 Posted July 15, 2023 Not the worst idea to walk Rodriguez there. He’s been dialed in today. Quote
AZTigersfan Posted July 15, 2023 Posted July 15, 2023 Phew, rough inning but he battled through without surrendering the lead. Quote

gehringer_2 Posted July 15, 2023 Posted July 15, 2023 Sorry France, but that should be automatic - you don't throw the bat. Quote

gehringer_2 Posted July 15, 2023 Posted July 15, 2023 ERod at 88 pitches. Need to get him out of there on the 1st baserunner next inning - if he goes out at all. Quote

romad1 Posted July 15, 2023 Posted July 15, 2023 Matt Shepherd...just put the game on a delay so you aren't so obviously wrong all the time. 1 Quote

gehringer_2 Posted July 15, 2023 Posted July 15, 2023 they're going to have to regrade the warning track by the time this one is over. 1 Quote

You mean throw tens of millions plus more years at him to keep him on a 90-loss team next year while our hitting continues to go fallow? I don’t think that will happen. He’s an asset. We need to cash him in. Quote
