Seattle, at home, fresh from hosting the All Star game? I think Rodriguez will be fine, it's scoring him some runs that concerns me the most. He was a bit rusty his first game back and settled in after a rough start. And I saw the ERA of Lange since, I think it was June 1st. It was close to 10.00. Not going to cut it, use Foley as our closer.

Of course he did. Nobody wants to take on that contract. Now he can sign for the league minimum and the Tigers have to pick up the rest. I'm not a fan of guaranteed contracts.

From the Tigers perspective they probably hope he does catch on somewhere - saves them a quarter M. 🤷‍♂️

I don't think he was a media darling. And he did say he would rather have time off instead of going to the All Star Game. Still no excuse, he should be in.

I know they want to start giving Greene and Tork more DH and off days, and Hinch is probably brilliant to have realized Greene must be exhuasted after 5 days off.

Other than Maton I would say those are the correct players.  The strongest lineup would have those other 8 guys, plus Ibanez or Short.
