I've never ever heard him referred to D-No.  Perhaps the players did as they tend to do that kind of thing on the field... but reporters shouldnt.   What an embarassment.

What the f would you know about it, R-Lo?

It's almost pointless to complain about Chris McCosky because he can't be saved, but his unabashed man-love of the players is not only unprofessional and antithetical to actual journalism, it's also creepy in a weird, stalky kind of way. My time at fantasy camps has taught me that players generally like anybody who is fawning and fanboyish with them, so he's probably well-accepted by most, but I wouldn't be surprised to learn that he genuinely creeps at least some of them out.

There's a scene in Almost Famous where after spending some time on the road with Stillwater, William Miller, the 15 year old journalist, greets the crew and everybody via nicknames and all of that. Just like he's one of the boys.

I wonder if McCosky does that in the locker room.  "What up Greenie!   Mizer, how's the elbow?   JR!  I'm so jealous of your porn stache.  I've been trying grow mine for 40 years"

I want to go the record and say that I wish every ex-Tiger to fail upon leaving our organization.  I‘m just petty that way.

I wish every ex-Tiger the best. But I mostly don't care about their outcomes.... and would expect that people paid to cover the Detroit Tigers spend their time covering the actual Detroit Tigers.

Tyler wouldn't be the first Nevin to be released by the Tigers at age 26 and then go on to a successful MLB career.

but did Jeff Riger fawn over Phil ?

He didn’t refer to him as “old friend”.

I hope Nevin goes on to have success.  But, in the event that this little streak doesn’t last long, maybe repost the tweet for giggles?

Today I got stuck in the concourse behind 3 women walking slo ly, side by side taking up the whole pathway, wearing jerseys by Ordonez, Zumaya, and Inge.  Suddenly it was 2008.
