Mr.TaterSalad Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 Nice throw by Bridgewater, nice route and catch by Green for the TD! Quote
MichiganCardinal Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 And a fumble recovery to follow! I would want time put back on the clock if this game mattered Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 Well..........Green, Cota and Drummond all slugging it out for that last WR spot. 2 probably make it with the other going on the practice squad. This looks like the end for Trinity Benson. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 Is Adrian Martinez going to be QB3? Quote

MichiganCardinal Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 I hadn’t seen that Sudfeld got carted off. Reported by Twentymen. Quote
MichiganCardinal Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 woah. I’m the only one in the world watching right now but the Panthers just got BONED on a review. Quote
holygoat Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 I think it was the right call. He lost control of the ball just before kicking the pylon, and didn't have control when he kicked it, so it was a fumble forward into the end-zone. Quote

I don’t think I like the super extended reviews generally. I don’t know how long it actually took but it felt like it took forever. If it takes more than two minutes, cut the official’s feed and let the call on the field stand. If we are evaluating when the ball was bobbled, when the pylon was touched, when the ball was regained, and where the ball was in relation to the goal line, all at the same time, we are doing too much - letting cameras officiate the game. Let’s just play football. Quote
holygoat Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 It's a pre-season game, so I'm inclined to agree. I'd probably feel differently if it was regular season or playoffs. Quote
buddha Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 they stayed healthy. mission accomplished for the preseason. 2 Quote

MichiganCardinal Posted August 28, 2023 Posted August 28, 2023 Given the lack of IOL depth on the team (beyond Glasgow), I wonder if the Lions kick the tires here. He’s been a colossal bust to this point, and if he couldn’t make the Bears he probably can’t cut it here, but Mayock and the Raiders weren’t the only ones with a high grade on him. He started at Alabama and won two National Championships. https://x.com/rapsheet/status/1695937734106312951?s=46&t=nM4aynsjXcVmanGRUm_P_A [Rapoport reporting through Elon’s terrible site that Alex Leatherwood is being released by the Bears] Quote

The Bears offensive line sucks but so does their coaching staff. You are probably correct though. Quote
MichiganCardinal Posted August 28, 2023 Posted August 28, 2023 13 cuts overnight, none surprising. Trinity Benson and Germain Ifedi were on the list though. Quote
RandyMarsh Posted August 28, 2023 Posted August 28, 2023 I haven't really been paying attention to things the past few weeks but what's the deal with mentioning Houston here? Has he not looked good in camp and preseason and they feel last year is a fluke or something? Quote

He was in all likelihood making the roster under the NFL's new rules that allow for an emergency gameday QB and now he won't be. Damn! Quote

RedRamage Posted August 28, 2023 Posted August 28, 2023 I'd be very surprised if Houston gets traded. Quote
MichiganCardinal Posted August 28, 2023 Posted August 28, 2023 I think they REALLY like Charles Harris. But the price for Houston has to be enormous. You don’t just trade away someone coming off rookie production like that for pennies. 1 Quote
