If Warde Manuel won't fire Harbaugh then Warde should be fired too.

well - same issue - Schlissel probably couldn't care less about the football program right about now. He's just been screwed over by the Regents. I really have a hard time seeing a scenario where he decides his last big public act is to fire Bo Jr.

I remember them showing the sidelines at one point during the 3rd quarter.  Mel Tucker had fire in his eyes and was stomping around the sidelines like a Boss and his team was soaking up his energy.  Switch over to Harbaugh and he's just crouched over with his mouth hanging open like he couldn't figure out what was going on.  I knew then it was over, even though Michigan still had the lead at the time.

He got punked again, as he always does in big games.

I hate to be "that guy" but that overturned TD didn't do Michigan any favors either. The whole complexion of the game changes when you're up 3 possessions vs. 2 in the second half like what would've been the case if that call stood. Not excusing the collapse but when you're down 3 possessions teams often abandon the run game and force things, MSU didn't have to do that.

Of course, they were jobbed.  Its always going to happen.

I'm not a Harbaugh faithful at all, I would definitely not oppose to him getting fired but lets not pretend like Michigan was this elite football program before he got here. They had lost 5+ games in 6 of the previous 7 seasons and Lost 3+ in 17 of the previous 20 seasons.  We've been like this for decades aside from a rare couple seasons.

yep,  That was an unbelievable call that completely changed the game

Walker is a complete beast.   He put the offense on his back the 2nd half.  How many times did he break 2 tackles and find daylight for a big play.  He treated a few all big-10 LB and S like they were high schoolers.

this is correct. To be brutally honest, it has only been Tucker's success up I-96 which has raised the expectations for what MI have have been able to accomplish this season.

The tough thing is I don't know how they get out of this anytime soon. For the reasons above I doubt they are going to fire Harbaugh - he will be here until his deal is up after next season, and they are just getting further and further behind the recruiting 8 ball with all the big game and rivalry losses.

Worse yet, Fickell could end up somewhere else.

Michigan State hit a home run with Mel Tucker. Too bad he will probably leave for LSU's $$$.

I don’t think it will be money.  MSU boosters have more of it than LSU.  If he leaves, it will be to get back to the SEC.

That's because unlike Michigan, LSU takes winning seriously. If Michigan did they'd fire Harbaugh and bring in someone else.

But Michigan used to regularly beat MSU and OSU.  Yeah, there have been lean years since the Lloyd Carr era ended, but it isn't like Harbaugh hasn't had years to build this program.  The slappies will be happy with the two or three loss season and the big wins over Nebraska and Indiana and a trip to the Citrus Bowl.

And just like that, a one-score game.................

When this happened and it was 30-22 I shut of my TV and went to Costco and did some shopping because I knew.  I just knew.  Came out to my car, checked my phone and there it was, 37-33.

Never changes.

Mel Tucker came into a program about as late as someone could last year.   Took over a depleted roster (after Dantonio had checked out two years prior), rebuilt it on the fly, used the transfer portal,  came into your house a 2 TD underdog and punched you in the mouth.  You went 1-3 the rest of the way and basically just quit playing because of COVID.    Year 2, gets punched in the mouth in the first half, stands right back up and gives you a beat down like Mickey Rourke's character in Barfly.   Coached circles around Harbaugh.

Michigan hasn't won a must-win game since when, 2004?      Indy is out again.  The playoff is out again and they choked against a rival.

Time for a major change.    But it won't happen

But that 1997 team and that 1948 team,  God damn those were great teams.

Why isn’t Mel Tucker’s name at the top of the UM coaching wish list?

That's a step too far even for me. I want Luke Fickell. I'll do whatever it takes to get him here. Get his wife the Hope Diamond if you have to.
