It's not linear, but I do not believe they will get off to the slow starts they did each of the last two seasons. I have them going 6-2 into the bye week and building from there to get to 12 wins. I should be more pessimistic after 36 years on this Earth of getting the rug pulled out from under me every time I have believed in this team. But you can't compare prior regimes and teams to what is presently on the field and who is presently running the organization. What Sheila Ford-Hamp, Brad Holmes, Dan Campbell, and co. doing genuinely looks and feels different than what we have ever seen in the past. This isn't the 11-5 Lions about to turn around and lay an egg the next year by going 4-12. This is a team that has made meaningful and significant offseason improvements. Improvements that will allow them to substantially build on what they did last year down the stretch. I expect great things from this team, up to and including, both a division win and playoff win at home. Quote

My route to 12-5 (and a franchise record tie with 91 for the most wins in a season) was 5-1 in the division and 7-4 out of it. With the way the division is shaping and the way the Raiders, Saints, and Broncos look? 12-5 is almost shaping up to be a floor. Quote

Jason_R Posted October 16, 2023 Posted October 16, 2023 Detroit is the only team without a bad loss. San Francisco’s loss today wasn’t terrible since the Browns are really strong on defense, but the vaunted SF defense couldn’t stop PJ Walker? Quote

Mr.TaterSalad Posted January 11, 2024 Posted January 11, 2024 (edited) I did get the Lions record correct but not much else. I had the Bengals at 14-3 and they didn't even make the playoffs. I had the Jets at 12-5 and their season went down game one, minute one. Also my NFC South predictions were waaaaay off base too. Edited January 11, 2024 by Mr.TaterSalad Quote

And while they blew the Lions game and it will be remembered, it only cost them a regular season game. But we avoided Green Bay and we got that 2nd home game we should have gotten by being the 2 seed. It worked out very well for us. Quote
