It sure looked like the Sox catcher intentionally spiked Meadows in the thigh when he was sliding into home.

kopech was pretty good as a reliever but has been middling to bad as a starter.  so the sox keep him as a starter in a desperate attempt to get chris sale 2.0 out of the chris sale trade.

kopech also sat out the covid season and has been an overall disappointment for the sox.  moncada and kopech was a great haul for sale at the time, but they both have turned into mentally and physically fragile players.

The problem with having Nevin on the roster is Hinch will use him. The guy should be the last man on the bench, only here in case of injuries.

Tork’s 25th home run pulls him into a tie for 25th in MLB. I believe he is in the top 4 or 5 among players under 25.

what frosts me about it is that is a fundamental misuse of statistics and statistical theory. When a guy goes 7/8, he is not the guy your season stats say he is, he is a guy who is seeing the ball unusually well and you are perfectly justified in riding his hot hand. The idea that every player always represents the same sample population is a total fallacy. They are on average, but only on average. In any specific instance, a human being may be passing through any of various states of being/emotion/health/*performance*.
