The in memoriam to jokes that didn't age well was really good too.  Rewatched the Scared Straight again and in that sketch you get a sense of the perils of live sketch comedy.  The audio wasn't great, maybe because the crowd was too loud but I had trouble picking out what they said.  That's where rehearsals come in.

Absolutely.  There were some things in that sketch i couldn't make out.  I think the vague allusions to all the movies each of those guys had done (except for Harry Potter) were difficult to pick out until you realized that is what they were referencing.  Still...when Eddie Murphy says "GENOCIDE!" I spent the next few minutes seeing stars because I damn near blacked out.

I was surprised (or I missed it?) not to see It's Pat on that montage.

My favorite Pat sketch was when George Wendt was the barber.  Different prices for male/female.... "I'm sorry, I'm a little crabby.. must be that time of the month?"

"oh yeah...."

"Bills!"

I watched a good amount of SNL growing up. I have the first five seasons of the original cast SNL in a DVD box set too. I really enjoyed the 50th Anniversary Special as a whole. But Adam Sandler's song, with his mentions of Norm and Farley really moved me. As well, at the end of the show Jane Curtain and Laraine Newman holding up the photo of the late and incredibly great Gilda Radner made me to tear up a bit. That was a nice gesture at the end of the show.

My wife would like nothing more than for our daughter to be Gilda.   I keep explaining to her that Gilda's dad was a hotel magnate.

product of University of Ligget.

Our HS baseball team played theirs regularly.  That's where we encountered black squirrels for the first time.  It was an "east side" thing.

Never saw them growing up on our side of town.  Now most are gray.

It was just recently I realized black squirrels were an east side thing. I have them daily in my backyard. When the black squirrels moved in here, all the grey squirrels left for the suburbs.

Here they must have mated with the browns.  And I think there must have been some mating with rabbits because I swear I don't remember squirrels jumping like that.  Maybe it was genes of the black squirrels.  I heard they are more athletic.

He once did a bit about being told by a censor that he couldn't say "Midget".

"You know, Midget is just as bad as the N word"

"No... No... it's not.  And you know how I know it's not?  You didn't even say the N word.  When comparing two words if you can't even say one of the words, then they are not equal".

Of course his delivery is what makes it work so well.

If there was any other spinoff from Breaking Bad that could be interesting it would be about the younger years of Lalo Salamanca.    Very interesting bad guy.

The problem there is a younger Lalo Salamanca may have to be played by somebody other than Tony Dalton (Although Saul did suspend the age issue in prequels in the Gilliganverse)

The Kettlemans.  She was kind of hot. Let’s see what they are up to. I’m sure when they heard Saul was gone they continued on their crooked ways.  She’s like Kim. She needs the action.

the actors went a long way to making the characters in that universe.  Yeah if would be fun to see young hector and Don Eladio. But Mark Margolis is dead and Stephen Bauer is too old.

What about Francesca? We didn't explore her character much. She chose to leave a safe, well-paying job with the DMV to work with Saul. Why? She was deeply entangled in Saul's illegal doings. I'm sure these writers could write a good story of her breaking bad. She uses the remaining contacts from Saul and starts her own illegal operation in a different state, and maybe not meth. You could introduce new characters, and you would also have a female lead protagonist.

Oh, there is no way Tony Dalton could do it.   I am talking his college years.   I mean, obviously Lalo is a very educated guy.  He's the Salamanca that they sent to prep school so he could infiltrate society.
