Dave Christian
Looks like I'm going to get my sweep! Torks 30th is a cherry on top! Edited September 28, 2023 by Dave Christian

lordstanley
7 in the 7th! Now that Tork has hit 30 homers, why not try for 100 RBIs. Not totally out of reach, needs 7 in the next 3 games

lordstanley
Just learned Kaline never had a 30-homer season. He hit 29 in both ‘62 and ‘66 and hit 27 three other times. Neither did Kirk Gibson, his high was 29 in 85. Jim Northrup’s highest was 25 in ‘69 Norm Cash on the other hand did it 5 times Mickey Tettleton did it 3 years in a row between ‘91-‘93 Lance Parrish did it once, with 32 in ‘82. Motor City Sonics
Great for Spencer. Get some hitters around this guy Carp and Greene and his BA numbers will improve. He's now got a shot at 100 RBI. How about ending this season at 79-83? How awesome would that be?>

Jim Cowan
Kaline's 29 homers in 1962 were done in 100 games.

Before Granderson, Bobby Higginson was the last home grown Tiger to do it in I believe 00 or 01.
gehringer_2
Meadows with good ABs against LH pitching. Lipcius continues to hit for average even at the top level - not so clear the glove or power is enough to keep him here, but he's earning a longer look. Dan Gilmore
I forget about Lipcius. Which is maybe a good thing: there are enough more hyped guys in the pipeline that his level isn’t a big deal. Trade throw-in?
