They wouldn't give up Rogers in the deal for Rushing. Rushing can't throw, he's not going to be a catcher.

Another thing here is, Rushing was just drafted in 22. Cartaya is on their 40 man. Cartaya struggled offensively last year. Rogers is a much better catcher than either Cartaya or Rushing.

Is there such a thing as THE lineup? The Tigers used 155 different lineups last year. The world champion Rangers used 114, and their most common lineup in the regular season was used seven different times.

I think this is right, although to the extent that there's a lot of variability, I don't love their chances if they are giving Vierling the lions' share of reps at third base.

This division isn't good so I would hesitate to declare anything not good enough though.
