slothfacekilla Posted October 19, 2023 Author Posted October 19, 2023 Not a ton of new footage but this is a really fun ASP highlight reel from his play so far, he's looking really good https://x.com/IcehockeyG/status/1714763736567660807?s=20 1 Quote
1984Echoes Posted October 19, 2023 Posted October 19, 2023 It gives a good impression of how fast ASP moves his skates/ stick/ and puck. Quote
Shinzaki Posted October 20, 2023 Posted October 20, 2023 I was thinking ASP would be in the SHL for two more years b4 being brought over to NA. He may be ready to make that leap next year Quote
Shinzaki Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 Griffs lose in Colorado 2-1. Goal by Hanas. Cossa stops 31 of 33 in the loss Quote
1984Echoes Posted October 23, 2023 Posted October 23, 2023 Note for the future: It's only two games, but Cossa has a .947 save %. If he's the real deal... then he could very well be the superstar type that elevates this team above most others, and gives the Wings a serious shot at a Stanley Cup. I know it's too early on Cossa... but just thinking out loud. Add some up and coming defenseman, and a nice looking Centerman (Danielson), and some other complimentary players and, while we may not have the superstar(s) that other upper echelon teams have, I think we can be just as good... Especially if Cossa turns into something special. Quote

slothfacekilla Posted October 23, 2023 Author Posted October 23, 2023 It is nice to see Cossa settling in a bit at the AHL level, hopefully he keeps it up. Right now he's fifth in the league in save percentage and the four ahead of him are all older than him (though only one is a true vet we've seen in the NHL). Wallstedt is 28th in the league in save percentage but him and Cossa have only played two games. 1 Quote

slothfacekilla Posted November 6, 2023 Author Posted November 6, 2023 Nice to see him with some creativity. He's had a....slow start for sure. Hopefully it is just injury recovery/missed training time + settling into the North America game full time. It looks like GR is using Edvinsson as a true #1 all around d so that is great to see.
