Wings look quite flat this period. But were tied until Husso gives the Seattle skater a lot of net to shoot at. 2-1 Kraken late in 2nd.

Hey, that's a killer. Kraken player throws his stick to intercept the puck on a strong scoring chance. Seconds later it's back down the ice for a breakaway goal for Seattle. 3-1 after 2.

The NHL will spend 10 minutes reviewing a call that might be offside by half an inch but a dude blatantly throws his stick at the puck to prevent a scoring chance and not a peep from the officials.

Gostisbehere tees up on a pass from Seider and blasts home a powerplay goal to cut the deficit to 3-2. Still 17 minutes to go.

I don't know how long this stretch will last, but am sure enjoying it while it lasts. This is a helluva lot of fun! 4-3 Wings.

Sucks to give up the lead in the final minutes but getting a point after being down two goals to start the third is a win in my book.

That would have been a lot to ask for the Wings to kill off back to back penalties late. 4-4 into OT.

Raymond had rang one off of the post 20 seconds before Seattle's winner.

Gostishere and Larkin both with 3 points tonight. Through 7 games, that brings Ghost to 3-6-9pts and Larkin to 4-10-14pts. Cat's goal brings him to 9-4-13pts.

Lalonde said the officials apologized for the missed call on the thrown stick.  Small consolation...

Home vs the Jets is a winnable game, but I think the Wings are due for a letdown game (the Seattle game wasn’t it, they played well enough to win) and am afraid this might be it.

It’s Stars Wars Night at the LCA. I may be the only guy born in 1967 who has never seen that original Star Wars movie of 1977. Probably none of the subsequent movies either (I vaguely recall being in a theatre watching Empire Strikes Back, but maybe was just a trailer).
