Loss.

4-1 after an ENG. Score line looks dismal, and taking only 1 of 4 points from Seattle and Winnipeg at home is disappointing, but the Wings outplayed the Jets much of the game.

Good thing the Wings banked points with a hot start. Still no match for the elites. 2-0 Bruins after 2.

Wings have life. Veleno roofed one

Wings were coming on hard until a really chintzy penalty shot call. Pasternak convers, 3-1 Bruins with 8 minutes to go.

Looks like another 4-1 loss, but the Wings played pretty well after the 1st period. Jack Edwards even sounded nervous at times in the 3rd period.

yeah - open question if they could keep up what they did the 1st week. Hopefully they find an equilibrium that's somewhere between that but better than the last couple.

Effort wasn't there until Veleno scored.  When they worked, they played closer to even.  Talent isn't here to take nights off...looking at Ras in particular.

Veleno may end the year as the 2C....would be intrigued by him on the wing on the top line

Yup. Winning in Hockey is a variable blend of talent and effort. In the regular season talent will usually rise to the top of the standing eventually, but once you get into the playoffs, less talented teams always have a shot to out compete more talented teams over a short haul.

I don't know if I've seen that term before haha.  I'll be watching the Wings until the Lions start then figure out what I want to focus on from there.  I missed the last couple of Wings games due to work / random stuff going on in life so hopefully I'll bring some luck back to them tonight.

Berggren got sent back down, Fabbri might be back early?

I’ve been watching the Lions, but it looks like the Wings ‘ scoring has dried up? 2 goals over the past 2 2/3 games. .

Bonus I didn’t expect.  It would have been nice if I could turn my back on the Lions to just watch the Wings a bit without ther Lions muffing it up not once but twice. It’s like with toddlers!
