I've never cared about any particular issue enough to drive 5 minutes to attend a protest and here we have people coming from out of state.  Got to give them an A for effort I guess.

Just makes one wonder who’s paying them for their time and travel.

Seems like Biden was still around. Left to get something to eat and most of the roads were closed. Had to go the back way. Didn't see secret service but a lot of police. They were on the side streets creating like check points. Only a couple cars at a time could get through. When I got back, everyone was gone. No sign of the Hamasholes either.

Tom Friedman, who is in general pretty well wired, writes in the NYT today that Biden is working on a policy initiative that basically says "screw you" to both Netanyahu and Iran and would both put the US into a direct role of helping to form a Palestinian entity with or without Israel and up direct pressure (presumably military) on Iran as well. Interesting if anything along those lines actually comes to pass. Friedman often oversells but this is a case where I'm guessing he's probably taking the role of starting to float this trial balloon for the admin.

Smart move.

I think the U.S. SHOULD unilaterally recognize a Palestinian State.

There would be more positives in there than anyone could conceive...

Maybe by then, humans will have realized just how stupid it was to believe in fairy tales about omnipotent creators.

Officially confirmed now by major media, the bombs are raining down in Syria and Iraq.  Kind of surprised they don't seem to be striking anything in Yemem.

One possible view would be that that Iraq and Syria are of more immediate strategic importance to Iran than Yemen and also that there are actors on the ground in a position to take advantage if Iranian forces are weakened. Also, the Houthi ability to make trouble ends whenever Iran stops supplying them, so we don't have to hit them directly to get that part of the result.

With this being a response to the attack on outpost that killed three soldiers,  it makes perfect sense that this attack didn't include any targets in Yemen.  Don't know what I was thinking.  Also, we did hit Yemen a couple days ago and took out a bunch of unmanned drones getting ready to launch.

This also appears to be the beginning of one phase of what Friedman reported, that the Admin has decided to hit Iran hard enough to get their attention and change their risk calculations.

The tricky part is that at least in Iraq, degrading Iranian forces to a degree beyond where the Iraqi government can pick up the security slack could open the door for more Isis oriented Sunni Radicals. There is more that a little irony in the fact that overlaid on the hostility between Iran and the US is the fact that as a practical matter we are in alliance against Sunni Radicals.

We're also hitting Yemeni missiles right on their launchers or in silos... Before they even take flight.

Not in every single case... But when they get the chance...

Yeah, this part... I truly love.

One Hamashole was arrested yesterday. A group of Hamasholes stood in the road trying to block Biden's motorcade. One apparently didn't want to move and allegedly assaulted a cop. Not sure I trust Warren PD on that one but playing in traffic is a Hamashole calling card.

Hopefully there are some background talks with China regarding this.  This is increasing shipping costs for them too, it would be nice for them to put some pressure on Iran.

sarah on X: "BREAKING: Israel has now killed 11,833 Palestinian children in Gaza in 85 days. 11,833 children. We're going into 2024 amidst a US-Israeli genocide. Don't stop talking about Palestine 🇵🇸

Just about the entire population of cities like Jackson, Northville Township, Southgate, and Walled Lake would be wiped out if you compared the death toll in Palestine to communities in Michigan. Eastpointe has 34,000 people, Lincoln Park has 39,000 people, Bloomfield Township as 44,000 people. Maybe we'll get there next.

It’s a good thing the communities of Jackson, Northville Township, Southgate, and Walled Lake didn’t choose to support, aid, and harbor one of world’s deadliest terrorist organizations.

Yeah, hopefully those communities would never vote for someone as corrupt and despot as Bibi Netanyahu or Hamas.

That's a flat out lie. Those numbers were supplied by Hamas, weren't they.

14,000 of those killed were terrorists. And they use kids to transport weapons and ammunition through there terrorist tunnels. How many of those children were IN tunnels when killed?

Misleading as ****.
