1984Echoes
The flipside is, if Hamas decided to attack again, Israel could formally declare War on Palestine as an enemy nation bent on Israel's destruction and therefore take even stronger measures then they've taken in this war on Hamas. Motown Bombers
Somehow I still think the international community will blame the Jews like they are now.

1984Echoes
War is hell. Mistakes are made. Mistakes are ALWAYS made in war. Not a genocide.
Motown Bombers
So if a couple dozen out of 2.5 million equals a genocide, didn't Hamas commit a genocide on October 7th? Everything is a genocide now. You break a ceasefire, kill a thousand or so innocent civilians, take a couple hundred hostage, refuse a ceasefire, continue to fire rockets, claim you will do it again, and the people who respond are the genociders now. On a side note, why are there no bomb shelter in Gaza? All those tunnels and only militants are using them.

This seems somewhat similar to the Al-Shifa Hospital bombing with an estimated 300 or so Palestinian casualties... That ended up being errant Hamas missiles instead of an Israeli bombing. At least it seems that way. I wonder how many of the 36K Gazan dead are actually at the hands of Hamas crossfire/ errors/ errant missiles/ secondary weapons explosions or on purpose killings by Hamas? 1,000? 2,000? We know it was Hamas missiles at Al-Shifa Hospital and we know they were shooting and killing Gazans that were directed to safe corridors. The true numbers will never be known. When considering the number of militant deaths to civilian deaths in an urban war, this has been one of the lowest casualty rate wars. Truly amazing how terrorists have convinced so many people this is a genocide.
Motown Bombers
Meanwhile, Russia continues to attack Ukraine dropping a bomb on a hardware store and no one running around yelling genocide or setting up encampments on colleges.
Tigeraholic1
It still amazes me how the elite, highly educated among us see an article and say "see genocide!" and run with it. Yet someone mentions Benjamin Crump you get "Who da F dat guy and why should I care?"
Motown Bombers
A major part of the problem is the media just immediately runs with whatever Hamas puts out there like them overinflating the deaths of women and children by 50%. With the baked in antisemitism, this is what you get. Telling the Jews of all people they are committing a genocide by killing terrorists who started a war with them. oblong
This situation has made the word genocide meaningless. If Israel wanted that they would have done it many times over the decades let alone months.
Motown Bombers
Gaza has doubled in population since 2000. By Hamas own numbers, the deaths have been around 30-35k for months now. This is the worst attempt at a genocide I have ever seen. I'm not aware of any genocide where the people genocided started the war and refuse to accept a ceasefire. Motown Bombers
Is it common when a group is being genocided to reject every offer to end the genocide?
Motown Bombers
Reminder, Hamas continues to fire rockets at Israel. If Israel defends itself, it’s a genocide.
