lordstanley Posted November 30, 2023 Author Posted November 30, 2023 Really good defending by the Rangers at the end. Or perhaps a function of the Wings' anemic PP. In any event, 6 on 4 for over a minute, had the puck the whole time, but no great chances created or developed. Quote
MIguy Posted November 30, 2023 Posted November 30, 2023 I don't get how Wings fans can whine about that Raymond high sticking call being overturned or the game winning goal being allowed to stand. Quote
gehringer_2 Posted November 30, 2023 Posted November 30, 2023 No shame in losing to the Rangers, but it sucks to have been within 5 minutes of a point and losing it. Quote

TNT made it seem like it was Gostisbehere was at fault for not being aware he was about to be hit from behind, it was wild to me that they were acting like it was nothing. He skated directly to the boards to play the puck and got rocked from behind. Complete garbage. DeBrincat getting driven face first into the half-wall was just as bad. Rangers are a cowardly team. slothfacekilla Posted December 1, 2023 Posted December 1, 2023 Nice pass by Copp followed by a nice shot by Compher for a shorty!!! Quote
slothfacekilla Posted December 1, 2023 Posted December 1, 2023 Hawks score quickly on the PP though, nice play by Bedard Quote
slothfacekilla Posted December 1, 2023 Posted December 1, 2023 Holy hell the goal that Fabbri just scored was a beauty!!!! 1 Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted December 1, 2023 Posted December 1, 2023 WOW, what a deke, what a goal by Fabbri!!!!! Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted December 1, 2023 Posted December 1, 2023 Hey, alright, way to go Ben Chiarot on the goal. #2 on the season. Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted December 1, 2023 Posted December 1, 2023 Back-to-back goals and the flood gates are opening. Nice start by Lyon tonight too in net. 1 Quote
slothfacekilla Posted December 1, 2023 Posted December 1, 2023 Wings starting to run away with it now, number 1 center JT Compher with a goal that Perron literally banks off his stick! Great plays by Raymond (keep in at the point) and Perron. Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted December 1, 2023 Posted December 1, 2023 Whatever! We're under their skin at this point anyways. Quote
slothfacekilla Posted December 1, 2023 Posted December 1, 2023 They just called such a soft cross check on Radysh lol. I guess the ref didn't realize that Seider was off balance I don't know, probably just a game management thing so things don't escalate? Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted December 1, 2023 Posted December 1, 2023 (edited) Two real solid periods of play by Alex Lyon tonight as well. Refreshing to see that our top line Centre and both goalies are out and we're still in total control of this game at both ends of the ice. Leading 4-1 while trailing 25-19 on shots is encouraging efficiency too. Edited December 1, 2023 by Mr.TaterSalad Quote
MIguy Posted December 1, 2023 Posted December 1, 2023 Always fun to smoke the Hawks. Would have been even better had Kane been playing. Quote
Sports_Freak Posted December 1, 2023 Posted December 1, 2023 It's great having a competitive team again. The longer these guys play together, the better they'll play. Nice blend of young players and veterans. Quote
gehringer_2 Posted December 1, 2023 Posted December 1, 2023 Will be interesting to see if they start using Lyon more. Quote
lordstanley Posted December 1, 2023 Author Posted December 1, 2023 I have no idea in which order Lalonde considers our three goalies to be these days. Quote

I don't expect Lyon to play like he did last night, every night. That said, given his performance, he deserves more opportunities to start for sure. Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted December 1, 2023 Posted December 1, 2023 We have as many points as Toronto now too in the Atlantic. We're trending upwards and they are trending backwards. Quote
