Someone told me the rule is you just have to signal fair catch and you automatically get it on the 25 yard line.

Is that correct?

Also, do you have to actually catch the ball or just give the fair catch signal?

That’s the rule change this year. It’s been the case in college.

If you request a fair catch, you have to catch it. But it’s also a touchback if it goes into the end zone. So if it’s going there you can let it go.

Though if someone else calls for it, and then you catch it, it’s still dead, but you get it where you caught it, not at the 25 (unless you’re in the end zone).

I think we are in a much better position to win the second half though. Chargers haven’t had an answer for anything we are doing, we just don’t have an answer for Allen.

Zero faith that Glenn can make any meaningful adjustments to stop Allen.
