Wings kick off the month in Montreal tonight

Wings were 6-4-2 in November. But it seemed solid and sustainable. I feel better about the team than they did a month ago.

What makes it seem sustainable to me is that...

They had PROBLEMS (yes, I am using all-caps)...

And were able to correct them.

Tampa lost 8-1 to Dallas today. Their record drops to 10-10-5 for 25 points, with a minus 10 goal differential. So 2 points behind the Wings and the Wings have 3 games in hand. This after Tampa got only 98 points last season and were knocked out in the opening round of the playoffs. I don’t think we need to pencil in the Bolts as playoff automatics.

During a period break in the last game Yzerman made it sound like it would be a couple of games but that it would be up to Kane to tell them when he thought he was ready.

4 goals in the 1st period, one a shorty by the Wings. 3-1 going into the 2nd.

Montreal cuts into the Wings’ 3-goal lead but DeBrincat gets one back. 4-2 midway through 2nd.

Habs had a 5 on 3 for a minute and the Wings killed it off without any danger.

No Kane this game... so, not yet.

joe veleno turning into a decent nhl player is a nice development.

Wings are outscoring Iowa, Florida St and Louisville. But have blown a 3-goal lead. 4-4 with under 3 minutes to go in regulation, we’ll-timed with Michigan’s halftime

Wings are right in the thick of things.

weird game. Wings really didn't deserve it based on the lacksidaisical play in the second half of the game, but Larkin didn't let them lose.

Just noticed who scored Montreal's 4th goal last night to tie the game late in the third. Gustav Lindstrom.

Patrick Kane was essentially the 3rd man in the booth for the first several minutes of the 2nd period last night.

Wings are looking good so far, hopefully they keep it rolling.

With wins in 5 of past 6 games, the Wings are off to a fast start tonight in Buffalo. Goals by Larkin and Fabbri make it 2-0 midway through 1st  Fabbri has 8 goals in 12 games.

Sabres booed off the ice. A lot of talk this summer about which if any of Ottawa-Buffalo-Detroit would step forward. At the moment, the Wings are 7 pts up on Buffalo with 2 games in hand, and 11 points up on Ottawa having played 4 more games.
