I hope it is still injury related and not that he just isn't that good of a hockey player...it has been a bit of a rough season for him.

The Wings are giving him every chance to succeed. Maybe even a longer leash.

Am I excited for thus, yes, it's Patrick Kane. How can you not be at least a little bit excited. But I've taken the time to actively and seriously temper my expectations. I in no way ever expect him to be what he was before the injury. His PPG days and 90 point seasons are looooong past him. But even if he gives us what he was in his last year with the Hawks I'd take that and be happy. I'm going to wince the first time he takes a big hit though or gets thrown to the ice. Let's hope that hip is healed and ready to go.

Hronek was the only player that I cared they gave up and the return was more than fair so the Yzerplan has been tracking pretty well in my book.

Compher's been spectacular... for what the Red Wings wanted out of him.

But someone else will just have to step up (Copp?) and, by adding Kane tonight, maybe we're at par, at least for this game.

Wings were badly outplayed in the 1st period. Lucky to be tied 0-0 after 1. Kane did have one of the best chances of the period a few minutes ago.

He's had a great game.  I missed a lot due to work but WIngs are now up 3-0!! Ras just had a deflection for the third one, I think Sprong maybe had the second I heard?
