I vaguely remember Hockenson feeling pretty good about being traded away from the Lions because he "wanted to win games"

After being traded he was quoted as saying, “[t]hat’s really what we’re here to do is go somewhere and win games… That’s kinda the first time I’ve been able to say that. So I’m pretty excited. I really am.”

Since those comments were made, the Lions are 18-6 and the Vikings are 14-10, plus a playoff loss.

I know if the Eagles win that we clinch a playoff spot, but do we want the Seahawks instead,  You know, for a possible shot at #2 or even (gulp) #1 seeding?    We own tiebreakers over the entire south, so really its between us, the Packers and Rams.

Do we own the tiebreaker over Green Bay?   So we split Head-To-Head, next would be conference record, we have them by 1 1/2 games there, plus the Packers would have to go undefeated the rest of the way.

I know the Lions playoff chances are now greater than 99% and because of that it's better if the Eagles lose, not the Seahawks, right?

Eagles are now a non-factor in the NFC championship race

Unreal this guy keeps getting chances.

Instant gratification means we want to clinch a playoff spot today. But looking at the big picture? I want Philly to lose. Get us the #2 seed, possibly.

Dexter Bussey/Billy Sims was a nice combo...I love Montgomery/Gibbs.  Might be our best combo in my lifetime. Montgomery can get to the edge and Gibbs can work between the tackles, so they don't really tip their hand by subbing one for the other

And both are capable receivers and both are used as goal line backs. Really compliment each other well and either can be the every down back if the other is injured

In my life this is def our best duo that I can think of.

Honorable mention would prob go to one of the years we had Reggie Bush, Joique Bell and Theo Riddick they were pretty productive from what I can remember.

Yeah. But what about those second down runs??

if we had any other offensive coordinator both running backs would have 2000 yards each and goff would not have thrown a pick all year.

ben johnson is trash.

He dresses relatively normal for Melifonwu but he puts on a show for Devito since he now knows the cameras will be on him. He was dressed looking like the Notre Dame mascot for his game yesterday.

Why was Payton yelling at his qb after the offsides on offense?

The best theory I've heard is that Payton wanted more time to watch the replay to decided if he wanted to challenge the call or not. Wilson snapped the ball too quickly.

That was dirty. He should have been ejected.

I don't think so... on the reply you can see he was tracking the ball when Raymond was signaling fair catch. I think he genuinely did not see the sign.

I didn’t get that replay at the stadium. Watching it after the fact I agree.

The Lions can run on this Dallas team.

With our healthy OL we should be able to.  I track the hiccup to not having them whole and healthy.
