They were trying to get points before the half so they were gonna try to pick up that 3rd and long one way or another the Campbell timeout didn't change their philosophy. If the Lions would've been able to stop said 3rd and long they would've had the ball back at the 20 with a minute left and two timeouts, plenty of time to get into FG range or put in a dagger TD before the half.
