Umm... now you're just inventing things to yell at the coaches about. There was absolutely ZERO reason not to run a play there.

Goff certainly made a bad throw and the defender made a great play but again those short out patterns like that are just such a low percentage play, at best you gain 5 yards, the risk reward just isn't there.

If Goff has simply thrown it a bit more outside like he easily would have, the Lions would have made it 2nd and 5 and set up nicely.

I hate that play. It's like a pick 6 waiting to happen. The only player I trust at the end of that throw is Amon Ra
