Despite getting jobbed by the refs, and Goff’s two mistakes, this was a great game. Kept Dallas to half their season home field scoring average, even with one of their touchdowns coming on a fluke 92 yard TD pass. Melifonwu had another pick. Hutch heated up. Bring back McNeil, Ceedy Duce, and James Houston for the playoffs and let’s see.

Yep, also even if the play did work I don't know if your best probability of winning is depending on a tackle who best of my recollection has never caught a ball in an NFL game to be the one you go to when the game is completely on the line. That's not like the Sewell play last year where the play was just to seal the game, this was for all the marbles.

Decker has caught a couple TDs.

If, IF Decker did report then we have yet another fugazie rule that only applies to us. IF Decker did report I hope Campbell, Holmes, Spielman, Sheila, someone in this organization gives it to the league office and officiating publicly.

I have so many thoughts about this game, I don't know where to begin. I can't even blame the refs really, the Lions beat themselves in so many ways. This game was right there to be had and the likely #2 or even #1 seed and they fumbled it. Campbell going for it on 4th and 5 earlier in the game instead of kicking the FG, the Barnes whiff (WTF was that?) that led to the Lamb TD, Goff with some needless throws, throwing to James Mitchell? to win the game?

Ugh, I went into this game with a relaxed mentality because the 3 seed was in the back pocket but this one really stings. They made their path to a SB a whole lot more difficult and it didn't need to be that way.

You’re out here making up rules.

no son.  "making **** up" is you pretending like you know football.

i'm telling you the truth.  you really do ruin this thread every week.  every.  single.  week.

we have a nice little group of posters who like to talk lions.  and during the week youre fine, even with your stupid takes on ben johnson.

but youre awful in the game threads.  you should really dial it back a notch.  be like mcs and smoke something before (and after) the game.

Looking at the replay, decker never ale within 10 feet of any ref.

Pretty sure 68 was standing right next to 70 when 70 reported.  Whether it was a penalty either way because of formation, I don’t know.

I just add him to the ignore list during games.

I missed the last 2 minutes after Goff's 2nd int, so I missed a lot it seems lol. Took my new pup for a walk. I don't know what happened, but I blame the loss on Barnes for running past Prescott in the end zone instead of tackling him for a safety. Everything that happened after that is incidental in my mind.

Refs made the difference in the game again vs the cowboys. Looks like Vegas called after the play it took so long for the flag.

No, either way the Lions covered the spread. They were getting 6 points.

James Mitchell want the reason they lost. Even if he catches that pass, he's short. The play was there and Goff didn't make a good throw.

he walked right over to the ref and reported.

in studio official said it wouldnt have mattered because he was covered up anyway.  regardless, that's not what they called.

the lions getting screwed by the refs in dallas is a right of passage, i guess.

God damn, if what Mitchell Schwartz said on Twitter is correct then I hope Sheila launches a public nuke at the league office. This is ****ing bull**** that we always have to face new rules that no one has ever heard of or rules that never get applied unless it's against us.

exactly.  the play works if goff makes a good throw.

You’re exaggerating.  Go back and look. I had lots of good to say.  And others say the same thing as me about the offense.

I'm not sure he gets in on a good throw even, the defender was there. The throw didn't help though. It's just Ben Johnson trying to be cute, almost worked with Decker though but just like with Campbell the cuteness (aggressiveness) can be a blessing and a curse.

This game has almost nothing to do with the refs.  Nothing.  Decker was ineligible 2 different ways.   The lions had endless chances.  They don’t nothing on offense.  Goff struggled.   That’s why they lost.
