From Detroit, Michigan.  The flash, apparently official,  Sam LaPorta's season died at 1pm Central Standard Time,  2pm Eastern Time,   some 38 minutes ago.      Backup Tight End James Mitchell will be taking the Oath of Tight End shortly.

Lions against elite receivers isn’t fair.  Consistently setting career marks.  9 catches for 147 with a quarter to go.  Single coverage with no safety help against the best WR in the league.  What are we even doing

Campbell just being stubborn now. Branch came back in. Puts st brown back in. Leaving all the starters with the injuries piling up.  This is wreckless coaching right now.  Chances of winning a playoff game severely diminished after today.

Severely diminished. It was like a 10% chance of getting the 2 seed but Campbell is aggressive by nature so this is the downside of it. Now they lost arguably their most important offensive catalyst outside of Goff of course on a team that almost completely depends on their offense to win games.

I truly believe the Lions are a .500 team without LaPorta. I can't see how they win more than one playoff game now and if they draw the Rams, that's likely a loss. He's been THAT important to them this season.

Don't agree.

Well, I remember when they traded TJ and they actually got more effective at using the TE position.   But that involved Brock Wright, who is out.

But is St. Brown still out there after clutching his ribs twice in three plays the last drive?
