I really do think he hyperextended it, which could mean he is out for the playoffs, but it's not the same a structural injury.  The fact that he walked off and had his knees bent while riding makes me feel a little better.    Gotta take an x-ray either way.

If you hover over someone's Username...

There is an "Ignore" option you can click on lower RH corner...

Sometimes...

It's useful.

That doesn't work on an Android. I have to click the little three dots on the upper right, go to account and add the username of whoever I want to block. Kinda of a PITA but much more peaceful.

From pro football Doc David chao:

According to Pro Football Doc LaPorta was carted to the locker room after leaving the Lions game early due what appears by video to be LCL/PLC sprain, listed as questionable to return by we at sicscore.com believe he will not return and his playoff availability is in doubt as this is likely a multi-week issue.”

the only thing they needed from this game was to come out of it healthy.

so this game is already a loss, no matter what the scoreboard says.

Agreed.

I don’t understand why we played starters today. I didn’t want to question Campbell, but it made no sense. The backups had a decent chance to beat Minnesota anyway. It’s unacceptable.

Didn't we have an injury earlier this year where we thought "oh, they're done" and it wound up being fine.

Don't know yet on LaPorta.   Don't assume the worst.

lol ... these guys invited the jump to conclusion mat

I'm not going to second guess Campbell on playing starters because we have the 2nd seed to play for still. But what a wet blanket our aspirations in the playoffs.

For a 5% chance, the backups could have delivered a win

I wouldn't have played Goff but you can't sit everybody, look at San Fran, they have the 1 seed locked up and while they are sitting some stars they are still playing a bunch of key players. Also some teams started shying away from resting their starters about a decade ago when it appeared that they would come out flat in that first playoff game due to the time off.

When you're used to playing just about every week for 4 months 2 weeks off can lead to a bit of rust. Maybe not nothing crazy but if it takes you a drive or two to get back into the groove of things that is a big deal when the margins are so small in the playoffs.

Campbell said at the half that he wants to team to play better and then he will decide on the starters.  This is the worst you could ask for.  Team plays bad, significant injury and then unsure to use the starters or not.
