The Wings were by far the more dangerous team in overtime, including two missed breakaways by DeBrincat. But shootout now.

Lyon made up for the weak goal by stoning the Kings in the shootout.

Victory! Raymond and Kane score in a quickly-decided shootout. Encouraging start to 2024.

They still gave up a ton of odd man rushes even after the 1st. They just don't get back very well and when they do, they invariably lose the trailer in the slot. Their 5 on 5 D in their own zone isn't half but their transition D is pretty terrible right now.

Lyon may not be a long term answer but since he came back he's helping, 6 points in his last 4 starts and the loss was on ENGs.

that was a huge win.  the kings dominated them last year.  

kane may not play any defnese, but he's still got that top 1% skill.

Red Wings give up a goal in the 1st 30 seconds, go ten minutes without a shot on goal, then tie it up on the Ducks 1st penalty.

They really don't think that even with a left stick Simon would be an upgrade on Petry or Holl?

Don’t want to jinx it, but Lyon has been solid in this trip. 
Wings lead 2-1 beginning the 3rd, just killed off a penalty. 
Wings have killed off their past 20 penalties.

Remarkable stat is that this is the first time all season the Wings have won scoring 3 goals or fewer.
