buddha Posted January 8, 2024 Posted January 8, 2024 good win streak. they need all the points they can get now after that awful december from hell. the caps and flyers need to turn back into the caps and flyers. Quote

Wings lead 2-1 beginning the 3rd, just killed off a penalty. Wings have killed off their past 20 penalties. When is Husso due back? Lyon playing well but the Wings D likely to burn him out if he has to keep playing this much. Quote
lordstanley Posted January 12, 2024 Author Posted January 12, 2024 Big test tonight for the Wings against the streaking Oilers. For a change, the Wings should be rested, at least. 0-0 midway through 1st. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 Feels like the Wings haven't played in a month. Quote
Tigerbomb13 Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 Lyon pretty much single handedly keeping them in this one Quote
lordstanley Posted January 12, 2024 Author Posted January 12, 2024 0-0 after 2. I was surprised to see that the Wings have scored 11 more goals than the Oilers this year. Quote
gehringer_2 Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 Seider also playing huge. He and Walman both. They need to upgrade at least one more of the defense in the worst way. Quote
gehringer_2 Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 wow. Wing goal comes after 3 min of solid Oiler pressure. Quote
gehringer_2 Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 Wings need to file the posts down a bit. Quote
lordstanley Posted January 12, 2024 Author Posted January 12, 2024 Dazzling goal by McDavid ties it at 1, just when I was daring to dream of a shutout victory. 10 minutes left in 3rd. Quote
lordstanley Posted January 12, 2024 Author Posted January 12, 2024 Oilers have only trailed for 8 minutes out of past 350 minutes. Quote
gehringer_2 Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 (edited) bad stick luck for the Wings. Seider has been on McDavid all game but had to go off to get a stick and it left McDavid unshadowed for just long enough. Petry can't handle him. Edited January 12, 2024 by gehringer_2 Quote
gehringer_2 Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 Are we getting anything out of Perron lately? Quote
Tigerbomb13 Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 Just like that, oilers with the lead Quote
gehringer_2 Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 (edited) Now Walman goes off. Wings have no chance against the McDavid line without Seider and Walman and the goal follows almost immediately. Wings aren't going anywhere with only 2 decent defensemen. Edited January 12, 2024 by gehringer_2 Quote
lordstanley Posted January 12, 2024 Author Posted January 12, 2024 It was too good to be true. Edmonton finally has the lead like they deserve. Quote
gehringer_2 Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 Wings have also spent the game trying to be too perfect - have passed on too many shots looking for the perfect pass. Quote
gehringer_2 Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 LOL. Walman goes back out after shaking off the hurt - Wings score. Appropriate! Quote
Tigerbomb13 Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 Wow. Matta ties it on a puck that seemed to sit there in the crease for eternity Quote
lordstanley Posted January 12, 2024 Author Posted January 12, 2024 WIngs catch a break! That's the type of flukey goal Reimer has been letting in all year. Quote
gehringer_2 Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 (edited) Seider knocks down McDavid, not for the 1st time tonight, goes over to tell him ...what? "Come back I'll do it again?"? Kid is totally fearless. Edited January 12, 2024 by gehringer_2 Quote
