Yeah, it's a coin flip. Gun to my head, I have them just missing: Beat Washington, lose to Pittsburgh, lose to Toronto, beat Montreal, OT loss to Montreal. 89 points. Miss by 2 points.

Our Leafs are trailing the Penguins 1-0 after 1.

Damn, Leafs, just coughed up a 2-1 lead. Tied 2-2 with 6 minutes to go.

Pens head to overtime with the Leafs, point in 9 straight games. That’s what you need to do when you can sniff the playoffs.

Devils and Sabres both lost tonight, both officially eliminated from playoff contention. They can both top out at 85 points only. NYI has already surpassed that, and either Pittsburgh or Detroit will win Thursday to get to 86.

I believe the Wings could be officially eliminated tonight if they lose in regulation while Philly wins in regulation and Washington wins in regulation and either NYI or Pittsburgh pick up at least a point.

For the Wings to be back in playoff position after tonight, they'd need to beat Toronto, have Pittsburgh to lose in regulation to Boston and have Washington lose in any way to Tampa.

as much as i am resigned that its over, all of that scenario is quite possible.
