As the broadcast comes up from a break, shows Larkin’s giving out on him on the powerplay a couple of minutes ago. Still, I feel better than I did 20 minutes ago.

Terrible giveaway by Maata but Lyon maintains his position and makes the save. 1-0 Wings with 13:30 to go.

Wings have been on their back feet - and in their own zone - most of the past few minutes. 10 minutes is a long time left to play rope a dope.

Wings do nothing on the powerplay and when Ekblad comes out of the box the Panthers go right down and tie it. 1-1 with 7:32 to go.

That was a dreadful powerplay until DeBrincat almost salvaged it. Hit the post though. Boy, that guy hits a ton of posts.

Wings go 0 for the shootout. Loss not good enough.

this was how they survived all season, because of alex lyon.  if he can get hot again, perhaps they can pick up some points on another streak?

but i think its too little too late now.

this is a team that is out of gas. Yzerman may be building a young team but he still has an old one.

0-0 after 1 at Tampa. Af least the Wings seem to be doing a better job at limiting goals against the last half dozen games or so, for the most part. Goes without saying they need to score though.
