#3 Michigan (in Top Public Universities) plays #20 Maryland in College Park at Under ArmorLand in a game Romad could go see but probably won't.

Michigan: heady, confident.  Maryland: sagging despondent.   They shall play a game of football and I shall be overseeing a softball league gear turn-in for my league.

as a michigan fan every game terrifies me but ohio state.  i know theyre going to lose to ohio state and have prepared myself accordingly.  every other game they should win but as a michigan fan somehow have this feeling of dread that they will somehow blow it.

As disappointing as the Harbaugh years may seem, if they win tomorrow this will be the 3rd time in his 7 seasons that Michigan goes into the OSU game at 10-1, in or on the edge of the top 5 nationally (#3 in 2016, #4 in 2018, #6 now with potential to be higher if Oregon or Cincy loses this weekend), and with a playoff path open.

actually the most fun an M fan could have in a long time would be for Michigan to win out and MSU lose in Columbus tomorrow. At least Tucker could afford to buy his greens a lot of consolation ice cream...:classic_tongue:

JH teams pattern (except Rutgers game) was meh first half and then the game happens.   So if up by a lot at half it does bode well.

Michigan with a beautifully designed trick play on that return to make it 38-10. Kinda wish they would've used that play before or saved it for a potentially more important time other than in a 3 score game in the 4th quarter.

guys in the booth nailed it - at this point you want OSU to see it so it inhibits their pursuit next week.

Michigan fans haven’t been happy in 70 years. They weren’t happy in the 1970s - said Big 10 was weak except for Ohio St and Bo could never win a bowl game.  Were happy for a few days after the Rose Bowl at end of ‘97 season, until the coaches’ poll came out.

Not when they've been any good. Between Rich Rod, Hoke, and Harbaugh the program has one win over MSU when they've had a winning record, at a mediocre 7-6. Outside of that, Michigan over the past decade has only beaten State when they have a losing record.

In terms of being happy with their coaches, Bo was constantly criticized for being the heir of Woody's '3 yards and cloud of dust". He was far more lionized after he was gone than by us M fans at the time. Yes we were happy to have had a guy that turned the program around but always unhappy that he was such a stick in the mud strategically.

But M always had that ability to sell a lot of seats and draw TV eyeballs which has given them a pretty nice economic advantage and they been able to use that for facilities and all so they've had a leg up on recruiting for a long time, but coach wise probably Gary Moeller might be the only coach we've ever had in my lifetime where you could say the coach brought much in the way of in game coaching or innovation in the way he brought a modern passing game to UM. Well, Rich Rod innovated but most of them didn't work well! :classic_laugh:

This was about as good a game as these kids could play, which is all you can ask. 

They won't be able to stay with the OSU receivers next week, but we could always get lucky with a zebra crew that calls a lot of holding on OSU.....
