Torkelson will take a step back this year and won’t see the same level of production as last year. Flaherty’s chance for any Cy Young votes looks like a reach at this point. To his credit, he’s had a nice bounce back season either way. Tork was low hanging fruit, easy prediction to get right. I don’t expect much more from him than what you’re seeing now, if that. bobrob2004
Quote Parker Meadows will steal over 40 bases. He has 19 in Toledo and 9 with the Tigers. He will need 12 more for the rest of the season. Quote Jake Rogers will hit 25 or more home runs. He needs 15 more for the rest of the season, so there is still a chance. Quote Shelby Miller will end up being the closer with over 30 saves. He has 2 and will need 28 more in 18 games. Unlikely. Quote Riley Greene will be a below average hitter. No. Quote Colt Keith and Matt Manning will get sent to AAA at some point due to poor performances. No and yes. Quote Jace Jung will take over for 3B by September after the release of Gio Urshela. Yes. Quote Ty Madden will make his ML debut this year and make at least 10 starts due to injuries to other pitchers. Yes and no. Technically only 1 start, but has pitched 4+ innings in each of his 3 appearances. Quote Tarik Skubal will win the Cy Young Award. https://www.espn.com/mlb/features/cyyoung Will Clase actually win? Helsley over Sale in the NL also lol I'm not given to parochial paranoia, but I do wonder whether there's not a little anti-Tigers skew, not because pundits necessarily hate the team or the city of Detroit, but because the Guards are winning and the Tigers are not, at least as popularly viewed. If Clase does steal several first-place votes, I think that would be part of it.
IdahoBert
Does Keith Law get the vote on the Cy Young winner in the AL?
