IdahoBert
Didn’t Judge begin the season slowly? And now here he’s ending the season slowly. It’s actually kind of tragic. And as a spectacle, this series is lacking. The only way for it to be less dramatic is for the Dodgers to win tonight in a blowout and for them to be unable to celebrate in Dodger Stadium where it would be considerably more exciting. That’s three games worth of hoopla and advertising revenue down the drain.
IdahoBert
A-Rod and Jeter are choosing the Yankees tonight for G-4. Seems probable. It’s hard to believe that the Yankees can completely collapse and not win at least one game. But we’ve seen good teams knocked over by steamrollers before…. lordstanley
Has anyone ever homered in every game of a World Series? Freeman will have achieved that if the Dodgers win tonight.
IdahoBert
I may be wrong, but I think Parker Meadows could’ve chased down that fly ball to center By Austin Wells.

IdahoBert
So the Dodgers starter was starting his very first game as an MLB player in the World Series of all places and he lasts three innings. Is this “pitching chaos” or just a mistake?

IdahoBert
Ohtani needs to do something Ohtaniesque in this bandbox tomorrow night. Like three HRs or something. He’s totally capable of it.

Motor City Sonics
Great gig for Will Venable - coming in as White Sox manager. He can go 61-101 and it's a 20 game improvement. 1
papalawrence
Read an article on the notion of taking away the "opener" starting pitcher, and I found this interesting. Rather than forcing a starter to stay in the game, the manager forfeits the DH when the starter comes out. Incentivises keeping the starter in longer. I could see this happening. https://www.thebiglead.com/john-smoltz-guarantees-mlb-will-change-one-rule

It’s a way of making sure that the big teams with lots of money make it to the top.

Most teams no longer use an old firstbaseman as DH anymore. So they'll just use the DH spot as leadoff let him get two abs lose him and sub in another guy as the Ph for 3 and not miss a beat. Sports_Freak
If Jack Flaherty shuts down a powerful Yankee lineup tonight for 5 or 6 innings, he may make a few million extra $$ on his upcoming contract.
