Astros broke the ice with Bregman with an opening offer of 6/156. I have a hunch that's about what Harris would offer, if the Tigers planned to try to land him. I think he'll get 6 or 7 @ 180-200

He should take it. The ballpark fits him and he seems comfortable being an Astro and they are a winning organization. Plus no State taxes.

I suppose there are statistics out there justifiably contending Comerica Park isn’t that bad of a hitter‘s ballpark, but I don’t know if hitters themselves feel that way and are tripping over themselves to come here.

Nick certainly blossomed when he left here. of course that’s a small sample size. I’m not going all Lynn Henning in on this, but I think this place might be a tough sell for a hitter, even with changes made to the park.

You’d really have to be all in on “the idea of the Tigers“ and the future and while that might work for us, I don’t know how that plays to hitters themselves. I could easily be wrong about this because I am clearly a moran.

From The Athletic on the A's new(?) home. It's gonna cost $250 million more than initial estimates. The A's say they're willing to foot the bill. Also the stadium won't be ready til '28, maybe

No way Sacramento taxpayers could be made to foot any bills.

You look at ballpark factors for RHH over at Savant and even though it’s 98 overall, which reads as average, we still rank 22nd among all ballparks. And our RHH home run factor, which is what I assume income- and legacy-seeking sluggers care most about, is 88 which ranks 23rd. So, I agree, tough sell.

I’ve been noodling the idea of moving the LF fences in five or ten feet. Left-handed pitchers we desperately want to extend wouldn’t love that, but how would that play to right-handed sluggers?

What the over/under (or before/after) on a trade to the Yankees or Dodgers or other top team? I’ll say July 2028.
