I also created one . . .

https://suno.com/song/0c466c6d-dd5d-4dea-b882-644ca461307c

[Verse]
Bat in his hand
Torkelson's up to the plate
But when it comes to hitting
Man
He just ain't great
Like a modern-day Rob Deer
He swings so hard and wild
But no matter how he tries
He can't hit it out the park
Child

[Verse 2]
Bad swings and strikeouts
It's becoming a routine
Torkelson at the plate
Man
It's like a comedy scene
His OPS is low
He can't find a groove
When it comes to hitting
Man
He's got something to prove

[Chorus]
Swing and a miss
Torkelson can't connect
He's like a deer in headlights
No respect
Strikeout after strikeout
He's feeling the heat
Torkelson at the plate
Man
It's a repeat

The 1901, 1902, and 1903 Tigers would definitely like a word with you and your AI. 😁

Speaking of which, why does every AI song or poem read like it was written by a Disney studio fugitive?

I've dealt with the Mouse in my job as media buyer, giving them money on behalf of clients, so I'm hoping I have some juice left to save me. 😁

Ok, that's definitely better than mine.  Were you able to use your own lyrics?

Nope, I just gave AI the parameters I wanted for the song and this is what it came up with. I told it to compare Tork to Rob Deer and sadly it did. 😕

A long, long, long, long time ago, I was wandering the concourse of Tiger Stadium before a game.  I have no idea where they came from, but Deer and Trammell were walking ahead of me.  And then they opened some door and vanished just like that.  There were others on the concourse, but nobody bugged them along that short stroll.  I guess everybody else was too gobsmacked to see players walking around there like I was.

Look....I'm not saying Rob Deer was good or anything... but he doesn't deserve to be some kind of poster child either.

would you rather Dave Kingman, Joey Gallo or Mark Reynolds?

Now, do Dean Palmer.

Dude, why do I have to do all of the work?  Are you afraid of numbers of something?

Palmer vs Deer is one of my favorite comps, but everyone seems to think that Deer was a joke and that Palmer was OK.

does anyone remember Deano?

I have to try it again with a more detailed prompt.

This is supposed to be about Colt Keith, but can really be about most of the Tigers hitters.

[Verse]
Bases loaded
It's in my hand
I step to the plate
Tryin' to make a stand
But the pitch comes fast
It's just too quick
Swing and miss
Strike one
I feel so sick

It's been a tough year
Can't seem to find my groove
Strugglin' at the plate
So much to prove
I'm chasin' dreams
But they keep slip away
Each game feels like a battle
Nothin' goes my way

[Verse 2]
Ground balls
Fly balls
They all find a way
To land in gloves
Where they shouldn't stay
I used to feel the joy
The thrill of the game
But now it's just frustration
Nothing feels the same

No, everyone there beside you was opposing team fans lol because Randy Smith had built such a pathetic team. I remember going to Tiger Stadium as a kid when the Indians would come to town and there would be more Indians fans than Tigers fans because we were so bad.

Dean Palmer was second best hitter in Randy Smith's lineup behind Tony Clark in 1999 from what I remember. Maybe better than Tony and better than Higgy.

Wouldn't you be disappointed as hell if all Tork amounts to is Rob Deer or a poor man's version of Deer? Deer had a career OPS of sub .750 and struck out an average of like 150 times a season. He's the poster child for all power and no smarts when at the plate. A dude just ripping at the ball with poor pitch selection and bad swings.

I would be mildly disappointed but not really surprised as most hitters drafted will not be as good as Rob Deer.

This is just as false as false can be.  Deer was a Tiger from 1991 through mid 1993.  Cleveland's first winning season eva was 1994.  I'm not even sure baseball was acknowledged in Cleveland before that.  They played in a football stadium for crying out loud.
