The difference is the Lions have one of the youngest, most talented rosters in the NFL. We had an average age with the Wings of 28.4 years which was middle of the pack. They have to shed some of these deadweight veterans this offseason for sure.

Getting a true #1 goalie would help too. Reimer made some clutch stops but you can’t keep expecting your offense to put up five goals a game.

Thanks for sharing the season here guys. As always, I appreciate the knowledge and videos posted. Let’s hope for the aforementioned lottery luck, a good off season and go get ‘em starting in the Fall.

I’m not mad at Philly or anything. You have 82 games to make your playoff case. But this call and the empty netter were part of the night’s drama.

I hope that's a lesson learned from this season.

That you can't just give away a game, or points.

They fought like crazy for points this past week...

That's my impression.

But they missed the playoffs so... I'm hoping they understand that next year by playing "Playoff Level" hockey the last month or two of the season instead of the last week or two. They need to fight harder for points.
