Dtrain72 Posted April 7, 2024 Posted April 7, 2024 Flaherty is still the same ass that he's been the last fee years, so thats nice Quote
AZTigersfan Posted April 7, 2024 Posted April 7, 2024 Wow 5 runs seems like 50 right now. The mighty Oakland A’s smh Quote
Dtrain72 Posted April 7, 2024 Posted April 7, 2024 (edited) Whelp, I'm out, Tigers finding their water lavel after the 5-2 start, good luck folks...maybe the "bats will heat up when it gwts warm", and Harris will realize that signing an obvious gascan like Flaherty wasnt the best idea. #unmitigatedass Edited April 7, 2024 by Dtrain72 Quote
Tigermojo Posted April 7, 2024 Posted April 7, 2024 Flaherty's fastball is getting hammered. Carpenter needed to cash that run in the first. The guy couldn't throw a strike and Carpenter swings at the first pitch. 1 Quote
1776 Posted April 7, 2024 Posted April 7, 2024 We’re getting in from a walk and I see this…UGLY! Quote
Tigermojo Posted April 7, 2024 Posted April 7, 2024 It might help the offense if the guy with a .394 OBP was leading off instead of batting fifth or sixth. 1 Quote
AZTigersfan Posted April 7, 2024 Posted April 7, 2024 Wow somebody tells these guys they’re play the A’s and a guy who came into the day with an over 20 era. Smh Quote

Expand This season is about trying to figure out if the 'young core' is good. If they win 84 games, that would be a nice bonus. They could have improved the offense with small moves but chose to roll with this. It's about the young players figuring it our leveling off to what they are. Every game is a data point. Quote
RatkoVarda Posted April 7, 2024 Posted April 7, 2024 will take them 50+ innings to score 7 runs, so this one is in the books Quote
Tigermojo Posted April 7, 2024 Posted April 7, 2024 Canha takes a called strike six inches off the plate and Benetti says "That's in Windsor." Quote
AZTigersfan Posted April 7, 2024 Posted April 7, 2024 At this point I just hope we score, losing two straight to the A’s is bad but being shutout back to back would be tough to take. Quote

gehringer_2 Posted April 7, 2024 Posted April 7, 2024 Torkelson has been a total disappointment far, not so much even the results but that he is doing exactly the opposite of what he needed to do this season, which was become a better hitter - higher OBP, a tougher out with men on base. Instead he has gone completely the other way, swinging out of his shoes, pulling everything, making a ton of outs. The sell out for the long ball may get him 30HR in the end but he'll just turn himself into Rob Deer with a buzz cut. 1 Quote
kdog Posted April 7, 2024 Posted April 7, 2024 We are back to games where just avoiding the shutout is the goal..not great. Quote
