Really hard to like this team...even a win today will leave me moderately pissed

Exactly. Ugly at bats for 3 straight games. And we should be happy they won a game they will lose 99 times out of 100?

split with the predicted division winner. Disappointing given they should have won one yesterday, but not a complete disaster.

In the macro, take the odd numbered of games series, split the even numbered of games series.  That’ll get a team into the playoffs.

Just got back from vacation, havent watched the Tigers all week then as soon as I turn on the TV Javy hits a HR. Must be a sign I need to go on vacation more often.

Pass the hat.

Don't go at all. Abandon our team? 😅

4 against Texas next. Hoping for another split.

Feels like their biggest win of the year, and unlike the one in Pittsburgh, it feels like they actually instigated the comeback.

Yeah, well placed ground balls. Right at the Twins left side of the infield.

I'm so happy he isnt doing these games... we've suffered enough

He is destroying the radio broadcasts though. That, and the loud canned cheering during commercial breaks on the At Bat app, makes the experience significantly worse than past years.

If Correa woulda been out there that comeback may not have happened.

Maybe, maybe not... sometimes you BABIP, or you get BABIPed. Thats the sport.

Either way, Javy and Tork showed a little bit in their finals ABs imo. Javy for showing a little power, Tork for actually displaying some situational awareness for a change.. Nothing wrong with being happy about that

Yeah, Tork, a dead pull hitter just blooping a hit to RF. It was actually a very good piece of hitting. Well done. But the Twins defense handed us the game, Canha's 2 run hit was a missed DP.

I'll never understand being angry after a win, I'll leave it at that

Who's angry? I'm just not that impressed at our offense. We held them with our pitching which allowed us to squeak out a win.

Baseball karma for Maeda blowing an easy DP yesterday. And also for McKinstry blowing an easy grounder that went right under his glove.

The baseball gods give, and they take away.

I'll take the weekend split.

Yeah, at the end of the season, they only count the victories, not how they were won. We do need to clean up our at bat approach though. Can't count on getting this lucky too many times. Our pitching and defense looks pretty good, for the most part.

The offense isn't good, but there were positives today. And they did earn the win, full stop.

And even after the blown play, they still had to go and get the winning run in...

Capitalizing on mistakes.... believe it or not, the good teams win games like these too.

I didn’t watch this game, but my understanding is that the Baez homer came on a ball that was actually in the strike zone. I like this “one weird trick” of swinging at balls in the strike zone. Even if it’s something casinos want to stop you from doing, but can’t.
