I like to use the counting cards/blackjack analogy.  A good system does work but only in the long view, over thousands of hands.  But you can't judge the system on a single hand and throw out the theory when it fails.  That's not the intent of the system.  And baseball being a game of failure offensively then it gets highlighted more often.

Currently we're at a team OPS+ of 76, for reference Javy's number as a Tiger is 74 so as a team we basically have been hitting at the same clip as Javy has since he has been here and we all know how terrible that has been.

we have one guy back - and that's Riley. After his 1 for 12 start in March, with today's 2/4 BB, his April OPS has climbed over 900.
