Deleterious Posted May 13, 2024 Author Posted May 13, 2024 Stop. Gobert isn't half the defender that Ben was. 1 Quote
Deleterious Posted May 13, 2024 Author Posted May 13, 2024 Jokic is so good. Posts up back to basket on the block. Double comes from the elbow, he spins baseline away from the double and lays it up. Quote
Deleterious Posted May 13, 2024 Author Posted May 13, 2024 Stupid gamble by Edwards on the inbounds play. Quote
Deleterious Posted May 13, 2024 Author Posted May 13, 2024 Denver goes down 0-2 then goes on the road against the #1 defense in the league and they score 117 and 115 while shooting 53% and 57% from the floor. Quote
Betrayer Posted May 13, 2024 Posted May 13, 2024 Crazy series, but a lot of fun. Everyone thought Denver was cooked - some were even calling it a sweep - when the Wolves went up 2-0. Indy crushing NY today was interesting as well. Quote
Deleterious Posted May 13, 2024 Author Posted May 13, 2024 The injuries are really catching up with the Knicks. KAT might be the most important person for Minnesota. You know Edwards will bring it every night, but he needs help. Someone said Minnesota was +5 with Edwards on the court last night and -13 when he was off. The two games in Denver KAT had 20 and 27. 14 and 13 at home. Quote

I know that the Wolves were dominant in the first 2 games but experience means a whole lot in the NBA moreso than most sports and the Nuggets are a true champion so I figured at the very least that Denver would be a much tougher out in Minnesota, didn't see them blowing them out twice though. Same is happening with OKC now too. The lack of experience is starting to show against a more experienced opponent. There always seems to be harsh lessons that have to be learned by young teams before they reach the pinnacle as us Pistons fans know all too well in the 80s then early 00s. Quote
Deleterious Posted May 14, 2024 Author Posted May 14, 2024 Not sure how bad his injury is. Probably the worst playoff game I ever watched from Luka. Him and Kyrie combined for 1 point in the final 7 minutes. 1 Quote
Deleterious Posted May 14, 2024 Author Posted May 14, 2024 He can still turn it around. But Giddey is a good example of why you want to see your young guys in the playoffs before you have to offer them big extensions. Quote

I was never a huge fan of him to start with though. Kinda felt like a slightly better version of Killian. Quote
Deleterious Posted May 14, 2024 Author Posted May 14, 2024 For another $25K he could have chucked the ball at some fans. 1 Quote
Betrayer Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Joker is ridiculous right now (3rd quarter). Making Gobert eat that DPOY. Quote

Hard for little guards to be highly successful in the league today. It's why I think it's possible that Dillingham and Sheppard slide down draft boards in favor of prospects with a better archetype like Buzelis/Holland etc. Edited May 16, 2024 by NYLion Quote

Did anyone see Draymond's comments on TNT after the game? Sure, everyone is talking about how Jokic used Gobert, but Draymond took it to cheap shot levels. To be expected from Dray I guess since he loves cheap shots in every form. Quote
