So is Greene, who's actually arguably been worse than Tork at the plate.

I’m starting to feel it was a good idea not to spend $149 on the MLB TV.

But that was a ya win some, ya lose some game...costly errors happened to both teams.  My main concern is having a black hole at the leadoff position...not sure who else AJ can try, but Greene aint it.  He has a track record/splits of hittings lots better in the 2-3 hole...when does this experiment end AJ?

Riley's not either 🤷‍♂️...hell, Parker actually did something today and hit a bomb, maybe he should get that spot back tomorow.

The Al Avila administration wasted a first round draft pick on Spencer Torkelson. The Scott Harris administration knows this. The only reason Torkelson is on this roster is because he was the first player selected. Parker Meadows should also be sent down to AAA.

It's not bad.  The The offense is frustrating, but they finally have a tolerable broadcaster and their pitching keeps them in every game.

They don't know it. That's why he's still up. It's trending like he's not going to be good. But his traits are worth waiting on.

He was the consensus number one.  Pretty much every other team would have taken him.  There are no guarantees in the draft.  It's also too early to write him off.

7 hits, 6 bb and 2 bombs is good output day for this team. They just didn't catch the ball well enough today - though of the errors the one on Keith looked more like a bad hop.

Can't blame Al Avila for the Tork pick but I wonder if Harris thinks he and others are  not so good and that's why he passed on Langford because his evaluation of the inherited talent makes him think we are still 3 years away so he went high school high ceiling draft.

Skies are a little cloudy for Langford. 2 XBH (0 HR) in 55 AB not likely what a championship team wants  in a production position like LF. I'd call it 50/50 which of he or Meadows get sent down 1st. Langford has the "we are not going to admit we were wrong" aspect going for him, Parker has the great D going for him. Still will be neck and neck I think. 🐎🏇

Meadows speed would make him a terrific leadoff hitter. But he needs to get on base more consistently.

Tork was the consensus #1 pick. Choosing a different player in that draft is hindsight. Who else would you have taken?

especially that draft. As per BR, Spencer has out homered anyone else from that 1st (or 2nd) round by a factor of 2x+. Jordan Walker, who went 21st, and was called up last year, has 16 with StL. A couple of the pitchers are doing OK, but not much in the way of hitters from the top of the 2020 draft.

could be that is was a poor draft year and someone had to be the first pick
