If they can get Meadows & Keith going..................I don't care much about Rogers' hitting (since he's so good defensively).

Same with Javy? That play he made yesterday, backing up and throwing off his back foot was very special. And heads up baserunning. Gotta admit, the guy hustles!

So I think we can relax about 3 spots in the order - Greene, Carpenter, Canha. Now need to figure out how many of the other six spots are serviceable.

Canha is starting to win me over..😆

I really like him hitting 3rd much better though.

I remember the vast majority of Tiger fans praising Avila for the Paredes for Meadows trade when it went down.

Most of us thought we got Meadows cheap. Paredes did change his approach though, at least, according to Craig.

For sure. I was one of them.

I never liked the Paredes deal. And I blame Hinch for never playing him enough to find out. It leaves me wondering about his ability to judge talent. The dude always showed a keen sense of the strike zone, fielded competently and just looking at him showed power was there.

Greene got hurt and Al was under pressure to show progress so he gambled. He gave up a high draft pick also and Meadows was already declining badly in the field and somewhat at the plate while his salary was rising.

Typical Tampa move.

If only they could find a leadoff hitter...

I think part of the playing time issue for Paredes was that he was stuck behind Candelario.

Maeda's career splits.  It doesn't guarantee anything going forward, but if history can be a guide, he's about to become a much better pitcher.

This post was clutch.

We went to Fenway in 1992 when the Tigers were in town in September. On Saturday night we sat on the third base side and on the Sunday game we sat behind the first base dugouts. Wanted to get the two perspectives of the park. I’’m 6’3” and the seats were not an issue for me. Glad we went when we did.

You were wither 5'2" then or the seats have shrunk over time?
