gehringer_2 Posted May 6, 2024 Posted May 6, 2024 You've got to be kidding. HR on the 1st pitch of the game then 3 guys K? Quote
IdahoBert Posted May 6, 2024 Posted May 6, 2024 Well, we got our run for the day out of the way quickly. See you tomorrow. Quote
SoCalTiger Posted May 6, 2024 Posted May 6, 2024 So please tell me for those watching the game. Two questions : 1. Could a better first baseman have caught the ball down the line Tork flailed at ? Or knocked it down for a single. 2. Would Verling have caught the ball that carpenter fielded on the bounce ? ( nice throw but was it catchable? ) Am I being critical ? Quote

IdahoBert Posted May 6, 2024 Posted May 6, 2024 I don’t have the TV package to see what these uniforms really look like on the field, but from this photo it looks like something out of Tron. It looks kind of cool, but it doesn’t look baseballish. Quote

Tiger337 Posted May 6, 2024 Posted May 6, 2024 If he bats third, it will be 3 fewer solo home runs😃 2 Quote
Tigermojo Posted May 6, 2024 Posted May 6, 2024 I thought 1. Canha 2. Greene was a no brainer since spring training but Hinch is the chess master and we are armchair managers. Quote

Regardless, I don't see how he recovers his standing with the fanbase even if he does turn it around. To borrow a phrase from contemporary politics, it's appears to have gone beyond "frustration" into "negative polarization" with a lot of folks, at least on Twitter IMO I think we all way too online. The social media impact on this minimal. If he has a good month, everything turns around. And people's expectations are so low that just a little improvement will be spun as positive. Quote
Hongbit Posted May 6, 2024 Posted May 6, 2024 Every.Single.Game. Multiple missed calls behind the plate Quote
Sports_Freak Posted May 6, 2024 Posted May 6, 2024 One of these days, Tork is going to hit a baseball 500 feet. Shut up all the naysayers. Quote
